My friend has a kicker old L5, he powered it with a audiobahn amp. The amp over powered the sub and it blew. . but now the amp wouldn't turn on even with no subs connected.
I metered the power, ground, and remote at the amp and power goes thru.
He has one of those fuses that light up, and it lights up when car is on, but its not blown and amp doesnt turn on. Is the amp blown, wha could be wrong?

If you verified your power ground and ignition and the fuse is fine then the only thing left is amp failure. I would sugest at least replacing the fuse just to be sure but I think the audiobahn did itself in

Keep in mind you may not have overpowered the sub, maybe underpowered it! Distortion will take out speakers faster than over powering! or the amp went DC on the outputs. The quality of audiobahn??? do a search . . .

Distortion does not kill speakers.  Clipping can becasue it causes overpower.  Please read the sticky subject titled "Too Little Power."

But your comment about Audiobahn and possible amp toasting is right on.  Get rid of the AudioBAHHH amp.

But bling bling amps always make there rated power an every race performace sticker adds 5hp!Audiobahn amp won't turn on - Last Post -- posted image.

But anyway for what you gave for that amp you could get a kicker amp from Circuit City that will out perform it. Audiobahhh sure dose look nice but that is really about all they do good.

When it comes to amps Kicker amps are on the same level as MTX, Alpine, Rockford and JBL. Eclipse amps are a cut above all of them but you cant go wrong with any of the amps listed in the first scentence.
