Hello, I currently own a 1998 Lincoln Navigator and started noticing that my lights on my dash (gauge faces) have started dimming. The left side brighter then the right. I wanted to know how this stock gauge lights work. Someone told me that I have to replace the whole dash cause the lights are built in and other tell me the opposite. Can you please clarify this and how would I go about replacing these lights? Also, I was interested in purchasing this

In order for me to use this, I have to replace the lights right, or does this have its own light source?
How would I go about taking the dash apart and replacing it with this? thanks

If I am not mistaken, it should be 194 light bulbs by a bunch of the and replace all at the same time. It happen to my 1999 ford explorer, it it a common problem on those year cars.

yes, you can change the ones you need. But remmember you are already back there, you might as well replace all of the, this way all the light bulbs will be new same color (brightness) it wouls suck if you only replace the ones u need and weeks later the other bulbs crap out.

194 is the bulb number, not the amount of them you need.  Hope you already knew that.
