lol... errrr... well I think its pretty much how much youw ant to pay. A friend of mine tried a bunch of the no-name (well not as name as dynamat). they seemed to work pretty good. get a friend at best buy, they get a KILLER discount on dynamat.

An alternative to dynamat is ice and water shield found in the roofing supplies at hardware stores. Get the self adhesive back and the non-granular face that way it can be layered easier if necessary. Works well and is a lot cheaper sound deadner than dynamat. It applies the same as dynamat for curved surfaces also.  Anybody try, I think its called snakeskin yet, sprayed on with a gun I believe?????

if you use spray on tar you can put a layer of spray on bedliner on top of it so you won't have any gooeyness to deal with. I did a 1/4"-1/2" layer of trowel on ruberized roof coating and then did a layer of white aerosol bedliner on top of it. I did it to the entire trunk on all surfaces and it was amazing. The bass must have increased at least double as loud, maybe more, but I didn't have an spl meter to check it. And I couldn't did my fingernail into the tar if I tried, the bedliner was too tough.
fiberglass reminds me of peanut brittle... but fiberglass tastes better!
