Hi i recently bought 2 kickerCVR 12" (dual 4ohm). i know i am going to wire them by series-parralel to make a 4ohm load. i have a mono amp. but what i dont understand is, when i wire the (+) to the (-) on each sub, do i use the positive side of the speaker wire or the negative side or BOTH. and one more thing. do i use 1 wire to connect the 2 subs together or do i just leave the subs separate and have 2 wire going in each terminal in the amp. i looked at the wiring diagram but im still a lil confused. thanks

This is what it should look like with the wiring: ( lines represent a single speaker wire )

You have to take a piece of each of the + and - wires and splice them together in the middle so you end up with one end + and the other end -.

Just kidding.  A wire is neither positive nor negative.  It is just a conduit for current.  Use a single strand of wire to connect those terminals.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

man THANK YOU big time, ive been trying to figure this out for like a week and none of my buddies can answer me. now one final question. i bought an alpine mrd-m1005, why i dont know. i shouldve got the mb quart amp i saw. anyways, the alpine isnt gonna give me enough power so what do you think would happen if i wired it for a 1ohm load.

Does the amp specs show a power output into 1 ohm?  If not, don't do it.

All Alpine mono amps can not support a 1 ohm load. Minimum is a 2 ohm load. You can not get a 2 ohm load with 2 Dual 4 ohm subs. You have to trade them in for 2 dual 2 ohms subs to get a 2 ohm load.
