hi guys, this is my first post, i hope someone can help me as i am tapped.
heres the stuff:
pioneer 960 hu
pioneer ipod controller
pioneer xm tuner
the hu works perfect with radio tuner, playing cds, and even using the pioneer aux input. BUT, when i hook either the xm tuner or the ipoid controller i get the weirdest problem.
i can change the source to the external ip bus unit. and i see the xm tuner or the ipod controller BUT no matter what i can not get any audio and if i switch the display to the spectrum analyzer <jumping lights> i see nothign moving, like the hu doesnt see any music. i get silence :( even worse, i can see the xmu tuner stations on the display, i can see what song is supposed to be playing but no sound. with the ipod controller, i can see the folder structure, select songs, even see the second counter counting up, but no sound again, no jumping lights on the analyzer. its the most retarded thing. i swear the unit has a problem with external ip bus, but i wanted to hear if anyone else has had the same problem? jsut to verify, i have tried multiple ip bus cables, 3 differetn xm tuners. it plain does not work. i even searched for a button that maybe says make external work, but found none. help a guy out....
heres the pics of the install of a ppi 6ch amp and jl stealth box 10w3.:

WELL MAKE SURE UVE GOT YOUR IP BUSS INPUTS AND OUTPUTS RIGHT. DOES THE IPOD BRAIN HAVE AN INPUT? OR IS IT ON THE XM?   IVE HAD THIS PROB ON PIONEER VIDEO SYSTEMS SO GIVE IT A TRY
