Ok i got a dilemma and i want to know this for sure as i will be purchasing this amp and another one of these subs tonight.

HOW MUCH POWER WOULD EACH SUB GET IN RMS?

Sub specs (premier 10" (TS-W105C)): single voice coil, 4 ohm, 700w peak, 350W rms

Amp Specs (Infinity 611A (Mono amp)): 456 watts RMS @ 4 ohms @ 657 Watts RMS @ 2 ohms

To my understanding, seeing how it is a 2 ohm load, the total rms power both subs will be getting is 657 RMS, so each sub will be getting 328.5 RMS, which is just under the mas RMS rating.

So the question is, HOW MUCH RMS POWER WILL EACH SUB GET IF HOOKED UP IN PARALLEL?

Your math is correct. Two 4-ohm speakers connected in parallel to an amplifier presents a 2-ohm load to the amplifier. If the amplifier produces 657 watts into 2 ohms, then the speakers will split this and each will be able to utilize 328 watts. Be sure to set your gain correctly and this should be fine. You want to avoid amplifier clipping.

the amp or the whole setup? im getting the additional sub and amp off ebay in the near future. i just wanted to plan it out before jumping on it. thanks for replies guys, i wish i knew 1/8th of that you know lol.

what do you guys think about capacitors? should i get one? what kind, type, size and brand should i get?

The setup looks like a good match. Where you are planning on purchasing from does not. As you are in Canada, add GST, the US - CDN dollar conversion, shipping charges, customs and brokerage fees (also known as getting it up the bum), coupled with no warranty in Canada. So in the event of a warranty issue, it is on your $ to send it back to the US for warranty (if you can indeed get warranty) and then on your $ again to have it sent back. (an amp cost about $50.00 each way FYI (I had to send a Cossfire amp back to Crossfire for service)). Best bet for a Canadian, is to shop in Canada.

the amp is in canada and i just bidded on one. so i should be fine. thanks for the help, ill tell you all how it sounds when the stuff starts to arrive. thanks again
