Driverside doorpin problem

On my 2000 Chrysler Sebring convertible the driver side door pin is not working but the passenger side is.  In the car there is only on wire that controls both doors it is BROWN / green. On the driver side I unscrewed the door pin and check the continuity on it and it was fine.  So I thinking there is probably a break between the doorpin and fuse box.  Any Suggestions

check to see if your door pin can be pushed in and turned either clockwise or counterclockwise. some vehicles have this feature so that if you have to have the door open for a while you can do so without having to turn the interior light off manually. if that is not the case then you should try running a jumper off the switch itself to a tester and see if the problem is in the factory wiring. if it is then you can run new wiring for this pin switch and try to trace the factory wiring problem down if you want the interior light to work with the driver's door. look for obvious things first like where threshold snap down and make sure that wire hasn't been crushed by them. hope this helps and good luck.

thanks for all the help guys but I fixed the problem. I traced it back to a wire in the drivers kick panel that was cut.  I reconected it and all is well.
