I have a Viper 350 W/ignition kill that was installed at a local shop. It locks the doors when I arm it/unlocks when disarmed. I want to upgrade to a Viper 791xv. Is it as simple as plugging in the 791xv "brain" and poof I'm done. Or will more work be required to make the remote start work etc? Will the antenna need to be swaped out also? I have zero experince installing an alarm. The Viper 350 has no other options added to it. 2003 Dodge Ram Regular cab truck. Thanx in advance.

There is ALOT more to the 791xv than the 350,it will not be as easy as unplug/plug. Check the manuals to see if you would want to take on that job, they have wiring diagrams in them.

Twelvoltz is right.  Only the main harness H1 is the same.  And some of the wires on that are even different!

If you'd like to read over the installation and owner's manual for the 791xv just go here:

http://rapidshare.de/files/17088039/Viper_Manuals.zip  Click on the free download when ask.

I'd take it to an authorized Viper dealer if I were you.

It is quite a job.

Good luck.
