I have the remote tothe JVC itcame with it and whihIjust purhased the stereo new from store. So since I have it, I shouldn't have any problem with it working right ? I hope not!!  But I have been thinking it says you have to mount the eye somewhere that it can be easily detected. Do you think that would look tacky? Or because of that reason if you were me would you just continue using the remote and leave the controls on steering wheel alone and just not use them? Because I wasn't aware that I would have to mount anything anywhere in view. So, now I am trying to decide if I want to install this adapter thing or not or if I should put the factory stereo back in and sale the JVC. I know I need to make up my mind but I don't know which one I should do. So if someone would give me their oppinion I would appreciate it. CONFUSED THATS ME!!!Oldsmobile Intrigue GL Stereo - Page 2 -- posted image.

The beauty of a remote is that you develop the tactile sense that you have with controls on the wheel...meaning it's all the same in the end.  With either one, you can make adjustments and choices without taking your eyes off the road.  With that in mind, I would forego the steering wheel for the less-than-tacky look and save a bundle to boot!
Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

Thank you I had decided to just keep factory one in and save the money and return the JVC back to store and get a refund. But I just needed someone to agree with me so I would feel like I was doing the right thing. so thank you because of your advice I will be getting a refund of $202.64 and saving 40.00 that I would be spending on an adapter. Hope you have a great day!!!!Oldsmobile Intrigue GL Stereo - Page 2 -- posted image.
