I'd like to do an alternating headlight flash setup in a 2006 Charger. I was looking at a schematic for the alternating flash on a website and it mentioned not to use the circuit on a 2006 Durango because it may damage the computer. I'm wondering if anyone knows how I can go about doing this properly so that I do not damage anything in the vehicle.

Make sure you use diodes so you don't messing up your electronic of you vehicle.  I would rather save up and by some hide-away strobes.  I've been buying from LSH Lights for several years and been installing in police vehicles.  Think about it this way;  would you flick your light switch on-off-on-off-on-off to get a strobe effect or go out a buy a strobe light.

Well since you mention doing police vehicles you should be familiar with the fact that not only are strobes used but so is alternating high-beam flashing. I'm actually looking to do both.

Because of the design of the Charger headlights my shop does not install hideaway strobes in the encpsulated headlight housings of the Dodge charger. As far as headlight flasher for Durango, we normally use isolated flasher made by soundoff/signal. Not too many companies have products for the new chargers yet. Setina has a partition cage available and push bumper. Federal Signal has a siren speaker backet. I'm not sure of any mirror lights yet. We just finally straightened almost everything out with the 2006 impalas.

The 06 Dodge charger police cars have a built-in headlight flasher. I think you just need to trigger it with +12VDC thru a 47K ohm resistor. Check the police package modifier's guide.

I have done hideaway strobes on the 06 charger....pain in the butt but, it can be done.  Pin 1 on the large white police package wiring is the headlight flasher and pin 2 is the rear lights.  Resistor is a must.

Have any of you done lightbars on the chargers?  I am having an issue with wind noise which appears to be coming mostly from where the cable feeds thru the roof; which has been throughly sealed.  Any suggestions?
