I have a general question.  I have a 2006 Hyundai Sonata with factory upgraded radio.  The system is fully amplified by a factory amplifier.  I disconnected the radio used a test tone cd and got about 2 - 2.5 volts pre-amplified signal.  Does this sound like the radio has low level outputs but no RCA’s since this was factory designed for the ease of replacement in case of problems with the unit.  Connecting an LOC to the radio pre-amp gives me a week signal.  Direct connection to the radio gives me a strong signal that is clean until I am 1.5 bars away from full blast on the radio.

You never really asked anything, but I think I understand what you're after.  If you're getting your signal before the factory amp, you can just splice on some rca's.  However, if you go after the factory amp, you need to use an loc.

My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.

Thanks,

I was trying to figure out if this radio out put was low level or high level that was converted by the amplifier?

I see.  Yeah, the radio puts out low level.
