I am looking for a replacement install harness for my Alpine HU (It's a CDM-7something -- can't remember right now as I'm at work). The previous owner clipped the power antenna lead all the way down to the plastic plug so there is no way I can connect it to the vehicle wiring.
Does anyone know if Alpine would sell these (I figure that they probably use a common plug for lots and lots of HU models), or is there some sort of Metra equivalent?

you can also check with Best Buy and other retailers who carry Alpine,  in most cases, the installers might have extra harnesses

I agree, check locally.  Circuit City may even have a smart harness for your application.  This would have the Alpine plug on one end, and the harness for your vehicle on the other.  If not, you can have them order one cheap through Metra.  Also, if there is another wire in the Alpine harness not being used- maybe illumination or something, you can use a small tool to release that wire from the harness, and snap it in place of the power antenna wire.  You can always attach some blue wire so you don't mistake it for illumination (or other).

My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.

Cool, thanks guys. There's no vehicle harness left anymore (1989 VW Jetta) but I'll check the local installers to see if anyone has anything that would work.
Thx.
