My cousin just installed a Hifonic BXi1600d and an Audiobahn AW1208T. Its wired at 1 ohm. We checked the connections. Everything is wired correctly. Its just not hitting hard like it should. The battery is in the trunk and the ground is connected straight to the amp from the battery. Any suggestions?

Its a prefab box. Its 2 cu. ft. with two square ports. Its my cousin's car by the way. Its something he bought at a local car audio shop. Their isn't a brand name on it or anything.

By the way. The subwoofer basket is mounted on the outside of the box. Would that make a difference?

It sucks.
Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.
