Hello I am new to this website!

Just wanted opinions on how to get maximum out of my setup.

The car is a 1991 Civic hatchback and I will be running a 2 ohm Alpine Type R DVC subwoofer in a sealed bassworx box. Running the sub will be an Alpine V12 2 channel amp. Just wondering if it would be best to face the sub upwards or horizontally. Also, I am unclear on what mono and stereo is and what bridging an amplifier does.

How should I set this up!?

All help is much appreciated.

If you have a two channel Alpine V12 more likely then not it is only stable at four ohms when bridged. If your type "R" is a dual 2 ohm voice coil you need to wire it in series to show the amp a 4 ohm load. Post the model numbers of the amp and sub to be sure.
There is no such thing as free installation!
