I bought a Prostart to install in my 2000 winstar van. I know how to install a remote starter but I am having problems to bypass the transpounder systems. Can you give me any advice? Which wire should I connect to the bypass kit from the remote starter?Transpounder By-Pass -- posted image. Transpounder By-Pass -- posted image.

You need to connect the bypass to a status output so that the bypass knows when you are remote starting. What bypass are you using?

Does it have a box you put a key into or does it have a pellet that you place near the key cylinder?

OK, on your alarm there should be an output labeled (-)out when running(I assume this is the alarm) . I assume that this is your bypass. I would try hooking the wire mention above to the blue wire of the bypass. You should only have power(red), ground(orange), the trigger(blue) hooked up. Then do five loopes around the key cylinder and plug it in.

What alot of people are doing when they use this type of by-pass is to grind the key a bit you are using. So it cannot be used in the ignition tumbler for security reasons.

i love my viper and universal dei bypass, i have a chipped key inside, uncut :) so if someone manages to find my alarm and key box hidden behind a riveted area to get the key out, they wont be able to unlock the car or turn the ignitton
