im just curious who else is using dual head units, i have the OEM where it "should be", and my JVC AR 760 in my trunk securely mounted. do note currently the oem unit is essentially just a clock. but i have plans to have fun with it...

why not take out the OEM?  It seems quite inconvenient to have the source unit mounted out of reach.

what fun is in store?

you have 3000 dollars of car audio stolen from your car, plus having to cover a new dash, window and seats; and see if you ever mount a head unit in the dash again

And the guy that follows you home from the contest you were in or the guy that heard your $3K system that followed you home would instantly know to look in the trunk. No offence intended but if I can pick out something like this, imagine how a thief would think about it. Nothing is safe. An alarm and insurance is your best bet.

i sure hope hes got the power tools to do it then....its not the easiest head units to steal when bolted to the frame of the car, then welded in place. sub boxes are mounted to the cars frame as well just not quite as well.

Insure vehicle, buy an alarm, remove your HU faceplate, and shave trunk lock. Has worked for me.
