i have a showcar..want to add some strobes to it..i want to mount strobes behind grills on my body kit..basically 2 strobes up front and 2 in the rear...i know whelen has a hide away strobe kit but can I use those for outdoor use?will there be moisture issues etc?what strobes can I get for out door use..I need small dimensions if possible...I know whelen has good hiseaway kits and nov does too..what should I be looking for?i have seen new LED self contained strobes..but are they are bright as srobe bulbs?do they last longer?will i still get that bright glow that makes a persons retina take a few seconds to adjust..hahaha this is for a demo car..thanks for all the help in advance..

I know it's been a while since you posted this...have you gotten an answer yet?
Whelen's Hide-A-Way strobes are meant to be put in the headlights/turn signals. You can buy rectangular lightheads that are intended to go behind the grill, and get them with white lenses if you want. I'd suggest against putting the hide-a-way strobe heads just mounted behind the grill.

Better to look @ Whelen's TIR3 LED lights. Brighter head on than strobes and less install headache. No power supply needed and they have built in flashers so just get 12 volts to them and away you go! Have fun.
