hey everyone, havent been here in a while, b/c i havent had any problems lately, until now, i installed a Viper 500ESP into my friends new 03 Toyota Celica, but i can't find the parking lights wire, it said the dark green wire at the lights switch, i stuck the wire into all the wires in that section and no luck...i even blew like 4 fuses on the parking lights wire doing this, can anyone help? thanks

I hope you are testing the wires and not just hooking up to wires because they are the right color. That green parking light wire is negative trigger. You do have the parking light output of the 500 set to negative, correct?

how would i "test" it? and how do i set it to negative? my car was finee, how come this one is so difficult, thanks

Use a meter and hook one of the leads to +12v constant and use the other lead for testing. Use the switch and the meter will either read nothing with the lights off or 12v ( - or + depending on which lead you are using) with the lights on. The 500esp has a switch built in to switch polarity for the parking light output. It is under the access panel on the top. Just pull the jumper and move it over.

Sorry dude, all cars are different. If you're blowing fuses, you'd better study up a little before poking around much more.

haha, yeah i stopped poking around, i finally figured out wat it was, by actually reading the manual now, i forgot to switch the jumper setting to (-), im going to try it and i'll let u guys know wasup, thanks all!
