I am installing a Toyota VIP RS3000 Security system in my Rolla and need to know if the trunk Lamp switch is an open circuit or a closed circuit. If it is open, I can just leave the wire back there un-attached and not worry about it. If the trunk switch is a closed circuit than I need to ground that wire or the alarm will constantly trigger and set off the alarm.

I know I should just pick up a Trunk Lamp Switch but I want to get this thing installed.

Please let me know ASAP...

Thanks

Jeff

TRUNK/HATCH PIN---------RED / white    *2     | -  |----------light or sw. in trunk

RED / white for sedan, common with doors for hatchback models. Hope this helps.
