03 saturn vue security light

ive had this problem before but forgot how i got around it, when you remote start it the security light comes on and stays on, no biggie cause it will clear when started with original key but i know that there is a way around it i have forgoten, , anyone remember how? is it pulsing driver door pin first?

You have to provide a ground during remote start to the keysense wire to avoid the service light from coming on.

yah thats not the issue its the security light, i know that it has no harm to the car cause it will reset, but this is dealer work and must be perfect

The factory alarm is programmable for Active, Passive (5 minute delay), or Disabled. Turn ignition on, press PANIC button 8 to 10 times in 5 seconds. Within 3 seconds press UNLOCK button for Disabled, LOCK button for Active, or LOCK button twice for Passive.
