OK this is another idea i have on a way to hook up my dvc 4ohm subs to a non mono 2ohm stable sony amp.  Would it be OK to wire seperate channels to the voice coils if the amp only has an input from the left or right rca.  See im running 2 Sony xm-2150gsx amps and connecting each amp to one 4ohm dvc... but each amp only has input from either the left or right speaker channel.. so shouldnt the 2 channels on the amp itself be the same? so i dont have to worry about stereo seperation between the channels and different voltage fluctuations between the 2 voice coils which may cause damage.  So with your guyz expert opinion can i just add 2 more posts to the back of my box and hook up each voice coil to a different channel on the same monorial amp?

*****AMPs RCA input is only from one channel (White rca goes to left amp, Red to Right amp)

That should work no problem.

Interesting.  Is this a class experiment or something?  There's gotta be a reason to make something typical, so complicated.  Youre using Sony amps so I dont think youre competing on a major level.  Two amps, one speaker?  Even if space was the issue, you'd be better served using the sub on one amp at 2ohms.  If not,  two subs from two amps would be more efficient.

To be completely worthless to you, I dont know the answer.  Sounds like youre splitting input voltage and making the amps work hard regardless.  Cool diagram though.
