Hey guys just in case you wanted to know i figured out what it was that was happening.  1) The type of enclosure that i had the subwoofer in is apparently "known" for "smoking" speakers.  I was talking to a few dealers around the area and they had mentioned that the same box has done the same to numerous people. 2) I was overpowering the speaker
