Ok, 2002 explorer built in 09/01. Remote start works fine, but I can't get the radio to shut off when the remote start is shut off. I've tapped into the blk/blue in the driver's kick for the door trigger and using a relay to send 12v to this wire. The relay is triggered by the factory re-arm wire of the r/s. When the r/s is shut down by the remote, the interior and side mirror lights come on for around 2-3 seconds(from the relay), but the radio stays on. Is there another wire I'm supposed to tap into besides the door trigger? Is this the correct one or did it change to something else?

the BLACK/ blue is the domelight wire. You need to hit a door trigger wire. The door trigger on that vehicle goes to an open circuit when a door is opened. The drivers door trigger is yellow/black. I get it in the drivers door boot. Cut the wire....one side to 87a, the other side to 30. Rearm to 85, constant to 86.

You can also get it low in the driver's kick to.  Just make sure to test it, because there's more than one yellow black down there.

Thanks. I do remember seeing a yellow/black down there alittle thicker than the others I believe. I'll give that a try.

Update: the yellow/black worked. It was a thin wire in the kick. This truck was a little funny since the wires at the ignition seemed to follow the 2002 wiring. Thanks again.
