i recently installed a clifford3.5 alarm w/ remote start in a 06 toyota tacoma and the check engine light turned on also when u first put it in gear and give it gas it takes a second for it to responce?

Are you sure? It's a Toyota, easy truck. No tech notes? Ign. 1, and 2.

Starter 1, and 2. Got em all?

so hows the yoda running, i have 2004 toyota tacoma,, great truck.... i had my alpine alarm installed 2 a while back and i had the same issue, installer error, so i decided to do it myself, really easy, i found it to be like putting my hand on my girls....... lol,,,,

Remove the tach signal wire from the engine to the RS unit & relocate it to another tach location.

finally fixed the problem removed the complete alarm and reinstalled it using the second starter output to trigger the relay for the second starter wire. once again thanks06 toyota  tacoma check engine light - Last Post -- posted image.
