I have a kenwood kgc-4042A EQ that has RCA inputs for the FRONT speakers, REAR speakers, and SUB woofer.  My question has to do with the RCA inputs for the SUBS. I am going to use a 2Channel amp for (1) 12" sub and another 2Channel amp for (2) 8" subs. Connecting the two amps will require a set of RCA cables for each amp.  How do I connect the (2) pair of RCA cables to the EQ when the EQ has only 1 input for the SUB? The REAR and FRONT inputs will be used. Do I need a sort of adapter? and if I do what is it called?

Remember a total of 3 SUBs will be used with (2) 2channel amps that require 2 sets of RCA cables. My EQ only has 1 input for the SUBs. How is the connection made?

First off, the eq has 3 outputs and one input. You have front / rear and subwoofer rca outputs and one rca input (from the cd player). Next look to see if one of your amplifiers has a rca output or pass through on it. If it does, wire the sub preout on the eq to the input of that amp, then wire the rca output of that amp to the input of the second amp. Failing this, a simple set of rca y adaptors will do the job just fine for you.
Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.
