Hey Techker, go to your local bodyshop and ask for polyester primer. This is the technical name for featherfill. It's a spray on ( or paint on ) heavy fill primer that sands like chaulk.

Select is just WAY expensive.. I quit buying everything from them and just get it local.. find a PPG paint shop or body shop.. they get all the good stuff..

i do usually get the everclear featherfill but i was having a pissing match with a guy at work .....he claims the select stuff is way better than featherfill.....and i said its the same thing......i asked him why it was better and it sounded like he just liked paying more for the same thing ......i mean its not like they have their own chemists over there inventing new products ...they are just re-labeled and marked up!!!!!   bastards, i wish i thought of doing it before  lucio(sp)

no.....the only thing you wanna use is a spray gun with a 2.0mm tip.

most guns come with a 1.4mm or 1.5 mm tip....these are just general purpose tips. the gun i use is an inexpensive gun from my matco tools guy that was about $100-$130 it came with a 1.4mm tip. i bought a 2.0mm for and extra $30.  I have used some really cheap guns from the auto parts store with a 1.5mm tip before.....this will still work, it just doesn't dump as much material out, and you have to spray  the piece more......installguy509
