popping noise from subs

i am running 2 10" Boston G1 subs powered by a Phoenix Gold Octane -R 5.0:1 mono amp. Subs make this popping noise when i turn my car off, anyone know what could be the problem?

is it a repeating popping noise or just one pop?     what do you have you remote wire hooked up too?

it's just a single pop and my remote wire is connected to the HU.

There are turn on/off pop eliminators on the market for this problem.  You can probably find one online, or you can build a delay: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-UIrJyx7hATl/tech/kb327.html.
