Does anyone have,  know how to , or where to find instuctions to program the remote that comes with the Viper 550 esp alarm system? I have the 4 button (black) with green light remote. Thanks

Page 33 and 34 tell you how to program the remote.

What I'm trying to figure out is how to get a non-DEI remote to work on a 550esp.  Anyone know how to do that?

well, there are universal remotes available, but they are the most god awfull looking things i have ever seen....

but your kinda asking if a Ford key will start your Toyota....nope sorry.

on the back of your brain box there should transmitter replacment number

it should look somthing like this 427/ 497 (this is not the numbersbut this is what it will look like)

you can program any remote as long as the numbers mach up

well...I meant that I have the viper alarm and remote for it, but I also have a spare remote from a bulldog keyless entry that I don't use. I thought I could program it as a backup....I guess not?
