Double Din Nav in 02 Vette

You're probably going to have a head ache.  If I remember correctly, the dash opening in the car is not double din.  It's that din+half that gm used up till the late 90s.

This thread has some pics of a C5 with a double-din installed. Looks like it sort of fits with some trimming.

If you check out those pics, you will notice a metal bracket that is right above the AC controls, this must be removed in order to get the double din to fit.   I've done two of these, one was like this one shown, the customer liked the way it looked, the other one I filled in the gaps with fiberglass and body filler, looked a million times better.

I don't like the finish in those pics. Looks like a hack job to me. If I owned a C5 and some shop did this to my vehicle I would be very upset to say the least
