ok so i sold my old one and im in need of a new cd player around 300$-350 pref. with ipod interface any ideas?

Alpine CDE-9856 , w/ $30 ipod cable....deck will totoally control ipod through the deck, I usally install the cable into the glovebox etc, look into it

And I would look to a Eclipse CD4000 or CD3000 if I were you.

If you want full integration and charging you'll have to fork over the cash for this, but if you don't mind using the iPod controls and a seperate car charger (which is what I do), then you can just get this.  And you can get both of those cheaper on ebay.

Overall, I like that Alpine has come up with a direct connect cable at a decent price but the downsides are that the deck controls take a while to get used to, there's no way to charge the iPod while it's connected and all of the interfaces I've seen lock the iPod controls while they're connected so that even if you just wanted track information to display on your deck and to use the iPod for control, you can't.  That's why I go with the AUX in method.
