does any1 remember the old soundstream reference sx500 high current amps i jus picked up one from someone who was dumb i paid $50 bucks for it and it didnt have any fuses inside of it so i poped in 2 10amp ones and jus to see if it powers up and it did so far it works so if any1 has any specs on it i would greatly appreciate it particularlly the right sizes fuses for it and has any1 had one of these or herd them before thanx again for any replies

lol i jus hate punctuation when typing i jus do it slow but neways thanx i got the book it says it can go 1/2 ohm stereo or 1 ohm mono that must be a pretty good amp what is anyones opinion on these old reference amps

It is rated down that low, but it won't handle that low of an impedance.  I tried 1 ohm once on mine and blew both 25 amp fuses on the amplifier.

I agree with Steven, 2 ohm mono was pushing it with this amp, even with it's rather large power supply and internal cap bank. If I remember correctly, it was 125w rms x 2 and 500w rms x 1 for the 4 ohm ratings. One of the last good Soundstream amplifiers. Keep that amp whatever you do (or donate it to the museam of car audio in forbidden's basement).
