I am trying to install a Sony XM-5540F 4 channel power amp with a fuse rating of 30 amps to power subs in my car but im worried that the battery and the alternator wont take the load. the battery has 60 Ah.can it handle the load?i may be adding another amp to power high freq. units too.

That Sony amp won't draw enough current to worry about alternator's in your car unless your driving a Daihatsu Handi or Suzuki Hatch/Mighty Boy

mecp certification is not always needed. I have it and it has not helped me out at all. my experience out shines it.
