Can anyone help? The diagram I get from here says -door trigger, black and white in kick panel.  I can't seem to find it, I know that some of you professionals have these kind of things memorized, can anyone give me a little more specific location?   Again, some help would be so appreciated. Thanks.

As it turns out, there there is no brown 14 pin connector at the base of the steering wheel.  The only brown connector is one on the left side and it contains the ign and starter wires.   There are three connectors on the left side and two on the right, I ve check there but dont seems to find it.

The door trigger wire is to the right of the steering column in a GRAY plug. There are 2 plugs right next to each other.  The plug you are looking for will have the BLACK/ white wire for the door trigger as well as an orange wire for the trunk trigger.  If I remember its the plug with the most wires in it and the wires you are looking for are thin.

Hey flobee, thanks for the help, right on the money.  I had tested the wires before but for some reason it  failed to show negative signal when door was open and showed 12v when door was closed.  I have another 97 honda accored and my multimeter showed ground when opened.  I can not understand why it does not show a ground on my 96 honda.  I finally said what the hell, I connect it anyways, and wouldnt you know it, it worked.  Maybe its my multimeter.  It's bluepoint brand I thought it was a good brand but now I am doubting it.  Anyways, again thank for the input flobee and everyone else too.
