DEI says to get the constant, switched, accessory and starter connections at the ignition harness.  I looked at it and the wires are very small, is it okay to use these wires for remote start?

Its ok for ignition, starter and accesory but I would grab the constant else where. Not real familiar with that vehicle so I can't give you anywhere in the car to find constant but if all else fails the battery is a guaranteed spot.

The constant-power wire at the keyswitch is fused under the hood at 10 amps.
The whole entire remote start on that car is going to draw one or two amps at most......as long as you're not putting in multiple sirens, window roll-up modules, etcetera.
Be sure to remove the fuse(s) that come with the remote start, and replace them with fuse(s) that are smaller than 10 amps...........say 5 or 7.5 amp fuses.......that way if there is a problem, the fuse under the dash pops, but the one under the hood doesn't, so the car is still driveable.

Thanks alot,  The cutomer is gone now and leaving for vacation.  I ended up using the constant wire at the ignition harness and it seems okay although it's throwing a check engine light.  Could this be why?
