Laptop LCD in a car?

i was wondering if it was possible to put a LCD screen from a laptop in a vehicle. i ask because i have 2 laying around and thought i could possibly put them somewhere. thanks

yea is if your were planning on keeping the computer as well. because most of the controls like contrast and such are build into the mother board of the computer.

so i wouldnt be able to put the screen in with out the rest of the computer

laptop screens are interesting animals. there are some that can be seperated from the computer and amde to work, but that is defiately not the norm. By the end of the month i will have a 15" lcd (not from a laptop) molded in to my dash with a pc under my seat. bye bye stereo

it would probably be easier and cheaper just to buy an LCD screen thats made for cars.
