Hey guys, I'm new to the forums and I just got my Avic D1 today. Everytime I turn it on, I keep getting that damn Attention warning about the parking break not properly connected. Is there a way to stop that thing? Also I am looking at bypassing the video so I can have people in the passenger watch dvd when they want to or play on a ps2. I've read all the topics about bypassing them and I wanted to try it, but my concern is, how to get the wire out of the harness plug. Is there an easier way to get it out? any tool perhaps? Will any harness work?
thanks guys =)

What version of software do you have?  The early ones had a software bug that caused this message to come up.  It should go away after a little while if you have it hooked up properly.  The other thing you should do is register your unit online and then call Pioneer and they will send you the most current D1 disks (v1.2.)  This will fix that parking brake message and the clock

To find out which version you have, look on the disk.  To find out how to get 1.2, re-read my post

It is unsafe and illegal to bypass the safety interlocks that prevent live video display during driving.  Please read the forum rules as this information is not allowed on our forum.  Thanks.
