Sure if you want to measure the impedance curve.  But all we are concerned with is the lowest the impedance will drop so the amplifier won't be strained beyond it's design.  That is technically what the impedance rating is.  Also keep in mind that with a multimeter you aren't measuring the impedance, but the DC resistance.  Impedance is the total resistance produced by resistance, inductance, and capacitance in an AC circuit and it varies with frequency.

so with the bullet proof wiring and power i described this guy could run this .66666 impedance but the 1-0 wiring and high out put alternator would cost more than new woofs.
