RF T15kw. Real deal or hype?

Specs: 7,500 watts rms @ 1ohm and only draws 30 amps per 1,000 watts. They took the words out of my mouth when I first read about it... "Energy can neither be created nor destroyed." From the pics it looks like a giant capacitor with an amp attached. Is what they claim feasible, or is this amp just a bunch of hype? LINK

holy mother of jeebus!  THAT THING IS HUMONGO!!!  and I can buy a few cars for the price of that amp! lol  very nice looking though I gotta say!

read about this one in PAS...never seen it in action (probably never will), but rockford isn't a company known to pull too much bs...that current rating does seem awfully low though...not that i can ever afford it, so i guess it's not really that important to me.  HMMMMMM...maybe if i sell all my posessions............"alcohol and night swimming - It's a winning combination!" - Lenny

Read this months issue of car audio & electronics it expalins how the capactors in the amp differ from the normal ones (Hybrid Technology) from the power industry allows storage of large power supplies which when momentarly discharged can produce more output then input, rockford claim it can produce the power in short bursts but not for long periods of time.  The whole amp only draws sumthing like 350amps at max.  Rockford wudnt say it could do it unless it could (either that or they have changed), price is going to stop most people from eva seeing it in action unfortionatly 20K american is like 27K australian Clarion DB36MP
