Hi, I have a 15 L5 solobaric...it's in a sealed nonported box. I beleive it does not have enuff air to push. so I was thinking of upgreading to a ported box...what do you think about this one?

Go ported and give it it's recommend box volume to get the max SPL of that sub .

What are the specs on that box?
That sub needs a hella big box. Go ported though...minimum ported is 3ft^3 so just build the biggest box you can fit and tune it right...then shake the house.

ported boxes always sound better but the disadvantages are that they need a whole lot more room. more room equals heavier.

mecp certification is not always needed. I have it and it has not helped me out at all. my experience out shines it.

I don't mean this to be mean or anything, but ported boxes don't always sound better.  Sealed boxes sound better in certain situations and visa versa.  87vertgt, how much space do you have for your box?  If you don't have the right amount of space for a ported box, then don't push it.  I also suggest that you don't buy a box off of eBay.  The box is a ver very important part in a subwoofer setup.  Look into getting one custom built.  That's just a suggestion though.
That's my opinion. Take it, leave it, or correct me.

You can poly fill your sealed box and try to over power the sub, but be careful not to blow it.  If you can't get one custom built then try a pro box.   You can't loose with these boxes.
