I'm shopping for a good DMM for mobile audio applications. I obviously don't wanna spend too much but i also dont want some unreliable multimeter. I'm looking for one that would also be the most accurate, my old ond gave me readings that were way off. Can anyone give me some suggestions on ones they are using and are happy with? And the price range if possible? Thnx for the help.

Accuracy in car audio isn't all that important, honestly.  5% is more then enough, which any name brand meter should be.  Look for something that reads frequency, which will help with finding tach wires.

Craftsman sells a $30 meter that is auto ranging and reads frequency.  The only problem with it is its slow, and won't measure newer door lock actuator wires, and other things that have fast pulses.  Thats where the Fluke 87 (or 189, or 787) comes in to play!
