I cannot Find Any Wire Diagrams to install An Aftermarket Stereo in an 1977 Mercury Cougar Xr-7 Coupe. I've tried trial and error but it just doesn't seem right. it is the old eighttrack with am/fm radio. there are 2 pink wires w/ yellow and white, two black with white, one orange and misc wires with other colors, if anyone could help me with a little insight it would be greatly appreciated.

I installed a HU in that exact same car in the early '90s, way before the net and wiring diagrams being available. Just use a DMM, test all wires, it isnt that hard.
