Amp Shuts Down after being on for a while

my amps would overheat in my trunk when sitting at an idle....when moving was always fine just in traffic and at idle....heat mustve built up underneath from exhuast...

My friends Fosgate 300.2 amp was mounted on top of his box right underneath the third tail light in his regal and it got so hot that the glue or adhesive whatever that was holding it in place melted and it fell down...Those RF amps can get hot...i mean like i burned myself when i touched it...bastard
