I cut the wires to the light in my trunk to hook up a neon light to it. I spliced the wires and wired the neon light and when it wasnt working I saw the side door lights the inside dome light and other lights that work when the car is off. Did I blow a fuse or short it?? This is a 97 Honda Accord LX.
Also If anyone knows where else I can hook this up in the trunk.

sounds like a blown fuse to me, i would unhook the neon and check your dome light fuse.  if you cant find it at the dash, it may be in another panel under the hood.

do you have an amp in the trunk?  you could rewire the neon tube using a relay and your amp's remote turn on lead.  this way the neon would come on when you turned on the stereo.

the tube should work off of your factory light in the trunk if you had it wired correctly though.
