My car was broken into and one of the front speaker surround has been slightly ripped when the thief kicked it. The speaker sounds fine, but I have stopped using it to prevent further damage. Can anyone recommend a method of repair short of buying a new speaker. The tear is very small but ultimately it will let high pressure air through when the speaker is in motion and may cause further damage.
My local install shop said super glue would be fine and that such a small tear + glue wouldn't affect linearity.
Thoughts / suggestions most welcome!
What's that flippie??

Super glue will work. I had an installer that swore by using nail polish.  If you apply it to the backside of the surround it should be ok.
