Damn, you have me drawn into this now.

If you motorize it, will you still want to have the panels removable?

Will you keep the Plexiglass plain and clear or would you add a slight tint to it?

I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.

LOL....  Yes, okay, it is hinged to the bar in the center of the car.  The bar will be removable along with the motors and everything in one piece.  I want the motors mounted to the bar, no where else unless it is the last resort.

The plexiglass will have mirrored limo tint on the top part, but no tint on the sides and back.

Guess a moderator corrected it, whoops.

Well, with it looking like that now, how is it supposed to rise up gullwing style?

Dang, I messed up, well, guess that it it split in the middle from top to bottom, and a bar there, and the actuators (one on each side of the bar in between the hinges), 2 hinges on each side.... This is what it would look like from the top of the car.

now you've gotta do it.  How do you plan to bend the plexi?  Getting two exact sides would be tough.  Maybe make a wooden mold to bend aganist?  I've never molded clear plastic in such large proportions, and i would imagine it would have to be fairly thick.  Good luck.  Keep us posted, i'm very interested in how this turns out.

Yeah, I would have to make some sort of mold, use some sort of heat gun to make the plexiglass melt enough to wrap around the mold, then cut it in half, bolt on my center bar, hinges, actuators, and then the plexi-roof.

Yeah.  how do you plan to seal it?  Would you have to make your own rubber parts to seal the edges?
