You can use a car battery charger/jumper to power just about any amp in your room to run your entire system for a car even? why you might ask?

I dont know but if your like me and you collect rediculouse amounts of car audio stuff then its quite fun to bump some tunes in your room with a car battery charger being used in place of a car battery :)

Just some useless information for the ot fourm

And i forgot too add... this also adds the probability of connecting home audio and car audio in the same package...

Aka home mixers dj tables and stuff to car audio its quite neat... home computers and sutch tvs xbox... in larger scale :)

I'd opt for the power inverter
I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.

Most chargers cannot deliver the amperage needed. They charge at 10 amps or so, some at 5 amps. The 40+ amp spikes can fry the charger, but more importantly the negative voltage from the huge amp spikes can damage audio gear.
Pyramid makes the most affordable power supplies in the bang for your buck category and it's a heck of a better idea than the 5 amp battery charger from Sears.
