Does the engine ground strap affect SQ?

  just wondering because i think the one on my mustang is hooked up wrong(to the back of the A/C compressor) where should it be and what will it affect sereo prformance wise???

If you are not getting engine noise in your system, it is fine.  That's about the only thing I can think of that it can affect that might be audible. 

Any other opinions?

I'd be willing to bet that there is a ground strap going to the frame. What you are seeing is just the ground for the AC compressor.
See if you can't get it on a lift to get a better look underneath.
Like DYohn said also, if you aren't getting engine noise then it is fine.
