Hey, just got some mb quart discus components and I am lookin at tweeter placement right now. Now usually you want to keep the tweeter as close to the midbass as possible, this I know. But the crossover on these speakers is waaaaayyyy up into the 5.2khz region. So would seperating the tweeter still be a really bad thing? Would it be worse because of the higher crossover or better? Because the midbass's will be in the door and I would like to maybe put the tweeters in the kickpanels or maybe even Apillars.
let me know.
fiberglass reminds me of peanut brittle... but fiberglass tastes better!

Im running MB Quart Reference series, mounted like a coaxial. Maybe Im old school, but I think keeping high frequency speakers mounted as close to one focal point as possible, is best. Thats just my opinion.

Dave agrees with mobilesndfx. The higher your crossover point, the more critical it is to keep the drivers close to one another.
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
