I have a 94 Buick Century. I want to get an amp and 2 subs. I don't know a lot about this but i was looking on ebay, at a predator 2 channel 4000 watt amp for about $150 and 2 lightning audio subs with a box at walmart for about $100. Will these work togehter? And how do i even set any of this up? And what else do i need?

I would strongly reccomend going to a shop if you have any close to you.     The equipment you are looking at is the very bottom of the barrell.    I think for $250-$350 a repituble shop should be able to get you alot better equipment and possibly an install.

I have to agree with the above post, for the most part. Those are both about as low end as you can get. When buying anything, in general, remember, "You get what you pay for" Im not so sure you can get 2 subs and an amp at a reputible shop for $250-$350 even without installation, but if Im wrong, that would be your best bet.

350 max should be able to get an amp and subs...just talk to the manager a little and get to know him...he may just give you a deal.
I have a local shop down the street from me and the guy is cool as hell. Gives me deals all the time.

Just for curiosity sakes, what do you think you can get for $350 max? Off the net, I recently purchased 2 JL Audio 10W0 subs, which are discontinued and a 200 watt Alpine amp and spent $360. I know that was way cheaper than a shop would sell it for. So what brands are the shop down the street from you selling at that good of a deal?

Shop sells Alpine, Alphasonic, Pioneer/Premier Rockford, Lightning Audio, Crossfire, and Clarion I think.
If I just talk to the dude he can work out some deals.

Actually a friend of mine got two 12 inch lightning audio subs and a 400.2 lightning audio amp installed at the shop and it sounds pretty good. It's all in the install.
