i have herd that you can add another battery to help power your amps and what not but my question is how do you add the other battery and if you can add one can you add two?

yes you can add additional batteries but they will not help unless you have a way to charge the additional load of another battery..A bigger alternator.
It will help when the car is off, and help slightly when the car is running, but the only way to increase and maintain stronger voltage and current to your amps and acc's is to upgrade the alternator

well i have a 140 amp alternator that i put in and i put a 4 gauge lead off of the alternator and have a 1000cca battery in now but id like to add some more power to my set up an di know i had asked about capacitors before and herd that they dont do all that much

Caps suck balls.
With that setup you may be able to add another battery...Or you could get a kinetik cap killer.

Get a Kinetik power cell, you will like it. Check'em out and pick which one fits your needs.....

Ans yes caps are a waste of money........

With a 140 Amp Alt. it would make sense to upgrade that 4 AWG to a 2 AWG or larger. Did you upgrade the grounds?
Look up the "big 3" and don't waste your money on caps!

The kinetik bateries are well worth the money for a street application, but quite pricy.    I would also agree with a "BIG 3" upgrade and a stonger single battery of a gel cell nature
